PREVIOUS EVENTS:

APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS. April/May 2009 This Sinclair Centre Gardening event included displays of modern landscaping for small spaces. As well the Master Gardeners were in attendance to answer gardening questions, the Orchid Society displayed their most exotic plants and GardenWise Magazine along with Sickelmores Flowers provided insiration, items to purchase and wonderful prizes.
It was a downtown 'green thumb' experience that was nature's way of saying, "Spring is here, let's party!".
ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE! February 2009. Another of our successful events for Sinclair Centre. A week prior to Valentine's Day CyberVision turned the Sinclair Centre Atrium into a beautiful romantic setting that featured caricatures created for your 'funny Valentine', tea leaf readings forcasting 'sectret loves', art display and auction, candy floss, beautiful bouquest by Sickelmores Flowers, decadent chocolate tastings by Roger's and a secret silent auction showcasing a variety of items from the participating Sinclair Centre Merchants. The week was topped off with an amazing acrobrat performance at noon.
RESULTS: A number of merchants made comments that during this event it was the busiest they had experienced Sinclair Centre in over 12 years!
CHRISTMAS FISHES FOR WISHES: December 2008. This creative mall event became the first of many events CyberVision has created for Sinclair Centre. The object of this unique Christmas event was to increase local mall traffic during lunchtime hours. CyberVision developed a fishing derby in which players could accumulate the caught fish weight, the player with the highest end score won a 34" HD Flat Screen TV and of course, bragging rights. The cost to fish was minimal with 100% of the proceeds raised going to Make-a-wish Foundation of BC & Yukon. We found this event worked well as through promotion the people traffic increased and through the fun and competitive nature of the game itself, many people returned to play daily.
GLOBAL COMEDYFEST: September, 2008. CVM was retained as Hospitality Coordinator for a series of events during the Global ComedyFest, produced by Destination Funny Inc. CVM arranged and produced numerous individual events during the festival including "meet & greet" celebrity parties, VIP packages and sales, and continously maintained a private, 24 hr. penthouse hospitality suite for performers attending from out of town.
CHALLENGE: The fluid nature of the project continues to be the biggest challenge, while being the most rewarding when demands are met.
5th ANNUAL DAVIE DAY STREET FESTIVAL 2008: As event producers of this annual event, on behalf of the West End Business Improvement Association, we created a DYNAMIC Davie Day! Saturday, September 6th, 2008 a 4 block Street closure (from Burrard to Broughton along Davie) became a day-long community festival with tons of fun for the whole family! We're very proud to have been involved in all aspects of this event from the ground up; creating sponsorship outlines, securing sponsors, creating the look & feel, logo, all promotional material (website, flyers, maps, billboards, posters, advertisements, promo cards, ballot boxes, T'Shirts), booking all performers, coordinating street closure, securing suppliers, working in conjunction with the City of Vancouver, Vancouver Coastal Health, VPD, Translink, securing and coordinating volunteers, securing street food vendors & street merchants, press releases, publicity and distribution.
CHALLENGE: There are numerous challenges with a project of this size. One of the areas most sensitive was aiming to please existing area merchants with the various street vendors booked for the day.
